Team Atlantic is one of five Canadian Regional teams that competes annually in the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge (Male) and bi-annually in the National Under 18 Championships (Female). Team Atlantic is about opportunity. It’s about coaches, staff members, volunteers and players working together and learning together. It’s about young men and women becoming better hockey players and more importantly, becoming better human beings. The Team Atlantic program has a clear purpose – “to provide a challenging and beneficial experience which will bring greater opportunities for all it’s participants”. By doing so, the Team Atlantic program continues to promote the game and the tremendous good that can come from being a participant.
Team Atlantic is about teamwork and the pursuit of common goals, which means that “Egos” are left at the door, that no one player or no one staff member is bigger than the team...that NO ONE is more important than the team.
Team Atlantic is NOT about individuals, which means that undiscipline or selfishness is not tolerated...members are responsible for their actions and are expected to foster positive energy.
Team Atlantic is NOT about winning at all cost, which means that a combination of absolute best efforts is expected from each of it’s members to ensure that the team is the best it can be....winning will be the result of that.

Team Atlantic is about respecting the past, the tradition, which means cherishing the efforts and determination of the players and staff members that have come before, appreciating the abilities of former Team Atlantic players and about how they have made the most of their opportunities.
Team Atlantic is about the pride of representing our region, which means displaying a positive image, fostering a role model for younger hopefuls, becoming ambassadors of our region, and showing your passion for wearing our country’s identity.
